Prints > Grids

These are experiments using a geometric hobby shop woodcraft shape. The shape appealed to me because it is an oval shape that looks like something-- perhaps a pill, something manufactured.

The grids are hand-drawn using a variety of colored pencils. I think of the grids as, well, beautiful unto themselves, and a way to give structure to an exploration of color and placement that has no innate structure.

Interestingly, I have dyscalculia, and I do not like to see information on a spreadsheet. It appears to shift and move. I think these grids are a way to make grids make sense to me.
