Pandemic Printmaking: Lines
I'm not a trained printmaker. At heart, I remain a messy painter. These are silkscreen prints.
This body of work came about during the self-quarantine time of Covid 19. The lines represent time spent, a way of marking time, moving through life that, in a way, we hope might be orderly and tidy. In reality, though, life is messy and unpredictable.
It is not my nature to be meticulous. I allow, no encourage, the ink to run, splooge, drip, and generally and behave as liquids do. I ruin screens and make stains. Many more of this series are unsuccessful than successful.
